Overview

Assists with the supervision of a group of children in a early childhood or school aged childcare site. Helps with Sign in and out after school.

 

Must be able to work M-F, at least 3 to 6PM. An ideal candidate would be available 1:30-6PM.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in supervision of a group of children.
  • Provides assistance in planning and implementation of the daily program.
  • Performs general housekeeping tasks; helps maintain clean and safe area.
  • Prepares and serves snacks.  Cleans snack area.
  • Applies YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergency procedures.
  • Attends staff meetings and training programs.
  • Demonstrate the "Character Counts" values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility in all your dealings with members, guests, volunteers and fellow staff.
  • All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state law (if the state sets requirements.  The YMCA should establish minimum qualification standards if the state has no requirements)
  • Must be able to work legally
  • Current state approved first-aid certification. 
  • Current state approved infant/child (or community if school aged) CPR certification

Posted Salary Range

USD $16.50 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
